The Animal Control Division is a two person unit and is supervised by the Professional Standards Lieutenant. Animal Control Officers enforce city ordinances concerning domestic pets, livestock and respond to citizen calls and complaints that relate to wild animals. The Stephenville Police Department's Animal Control Officers hold multiple certifications and are Texas Animal Control Association Certified.
Animal Control operates seven days a week from 7:00 A.M. to 5 P.M.
